ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive Hanoi
Chào mừng! (Welcome)! Celebrate your first day in Hanoi with a special welcome drink.

Day 2: Hanoi (B, D)
Tour Hanoi, stopping at the historic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda and the nearby Museum of Ethnology. At the Temple of Literature, enjoy an exclusive talk by Dr. Huu Ngoc about the history and culture of Vietnam.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
Leaving Hanoi, you’ll head for Halong Bay. There, you’ll enjoy the Halong Jasmine Cruise aboard an elegantly refurbished and expansive junk. Be refreshed by luxurious travel as you enjoy the scenery, swim the beaches, trek the peaks, and enjoy gourmet meals.

Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Hue (BR)
Wake up early to catch the dramatic sunrise on the bay and enjoy a Tai Chi demonstration on the sun deck. After a morning cruise, you’ll return to Hanoi, stopping along the way at Phu Lang village to experience pottery-making up close.

Day 5: Hue (B, L)
Explore the Imperial Citadel in Hue City, and then sail along the Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda. Disembark and a short drive later, you’re at Tu Duc Royal Tomb and then on to Khai Dinh Royal Tomb. Later, you’ll enjoy a exclusive Royal Martial Arts performance.

Day 6: Hue – Hoi An (B)
Farewell to Hue as you leave for Hoi An. There, you’ll walk the narrow lanes of this historic city and visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Assembly Hall of Chaozhou Chinese Congregation and the colorful local marketplace.

Day 7: Hoi An (B)
Enjoy a day of leisure.

Day 8: Hoi An – Saigon (B)
Following breakfast you leave for Saigon.

Day 9: Saigon (B, D)
Tour Saigon’s historic landmarks, the Opera House, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office and the President Palace. You’ll visit the Thien Hau temple and later enjoy dinner at the former residence of U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam, Henry Cabot Lodge.

Day 10: Saigon (B, L)
Explore the Mekong Delta by boat and bike. Pedaling along asphalt and gravel roads, you’ll sample this fertile land on a 25 km ride. At Cai Lay, you’ll board the Mekong Queen for a trip to Cai Be, a sensational floating market, and then back to Saigon.

Day 11: Saigon – Siem Reap (B)
Fly to Siem Reap, a gateway to the ancient capital of Angkor. You’ll visit the stunning temples via a fun tuk-tuk ride to Angkor Thom, where you’ll see the Elephant Terrace and the Leper King Terrace. End the day with an elephant ride at Phnom Bakheng.

Day 12: Siem Reap/Ankor Wat (B)
Enjoy an overview of Khmer history and culture by Khmer scholar Chea Bunat, as you walk the halls of Angkor Wat. Visit the picturesque Ta Prohm jungle and then the historic city of Banteay Srey. Later stop by Les Artisans D’angkor for the work of local artists.

Day 13: Siem Reap (B, D)
Day of leisure in Siem Reap.

Day 14: Departure (B)
