ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive in Cairo, Egypt
Welcome to the ancient land of Cairo, Egypt!

Day 2: Cairo (B, L, D)
Tour Cairo with a respected Egyptologist, visiting the city of Memphis, the Giza Pyramid and the legendary Sphinx.

Day 3: Cairo (B, L)
Your third day in Cairo begins at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities and continues with a fascinating tour of Islamic Cairo, including the ancient Citadel.

Day 4: Cairo (B, L)
Explore Coptic and Old Cairo, including the newly refurbished Coptic Museum, the Synagogue of Ben Ezra and the beguiling Khan El-Khalili Bazaar.

Day 5: Cairo – Abu Simbel – Aswan (B, L, D)
Fly to Abu Simbel to visit the famed temples of Ra-Harakhte and Hathor and then on to Aswan where you’ll board the luxurious Sanctuary Nile Adventurer for a three-day cruise on the renowned Nile River.

Day 6: Nile Cruise: Aswan – Kom Ombo (B, L, D)
Cruise to the Kom Ombo Temple, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, and then on to the Edfu Temple, the largest and best-preserved Pharaonic temple in Egypt and enjoy an Egyptian cooking lesson along the way.

Day 7: Nile Cruise: Luxor (B, L, D)
In Luxor, enjoy the world’s greatest open-air museum, and visit the famed Valley of the Kings and Queens, the Hatshepsut Temple, the graceful Temple of Luxor and the Temple of Karnak.

Day 8: Luxor – Cairo – Alexandria (B, L)
Fly to Alexandria, described as “The Pearl of the Mediterranean,” for a unique insight into ancient Egypt and her many incarnations.

Day 9: Alexandria (B, L)
Enjoy a tour of the ancient city of Alexandria, with stops at the Catacombs of Kom El Shugafa, the Bibliotheca Alexandria and the Roman Amphitheater.

Day 10: Alexandria – Cairo (B, L, D)
En route to Cairo, you’ll visit Wadi Natroun, the desert valley famous for its many Coptic Monasteries, and then enjoy a flavorful farewell dinner in Cairo.

Day 11: Departure (B)
